Depart at 8.00 am, get out of Hanoi busy city, we follow the Red River to away from the city noise and traffic jams. Along the beautiful river road will gives you a taste of things to come, including testing your biking abilities. After that we’ll board a ferry to cross the traditionally famous Lo River, in which a number of important events took place during our resistance war against the French colonialists. We continue our journey north to Thac ba lake. Where we will stop for overnight at local house, A local meal will be prepared and you have an opportunity to spend the evening sitting around a fire together, chatting and laughing with the local people. The host family will provide accommodation where we will all share a room with several beds, complete with mosquito nets. The locals live a very simple life and are very friendly. Having breakfast at hotel in Hanoi, then get out of the city noise and traffic jam heading towards Northeast of Hanoi on comfortable Highway. A drive through the Red river delta and peaceful countryside of Vietnam where we will see spectacular scenery of rice paddies field, rivers, mountains and hills. This is the best chance to overview the vietnamese village in peace and quite. Stop at Tho Ha village by the Cau river where we will learn how to make pottery of white clay. Keep going to Lang son province, before leaving the main road and climb up to the peak of Mau Son mountain. An old French hill station, Mau Son was ravaged during war with the Chinese and the buildings have recently been rebuilt in traditional style. A winding road leads us to the summit and at over 1,500 metres altitude we enjoy fantastic views out over China and down towards Ha Long Bay.
